Eyebag removal surgery is done under local or general anesthesia. Skin excess is marked and removed using very fine plastic surgical techniques. The volume loss (hollowness) around the eyes is corrected by readjusting the fat pads or adding fat by Fat Grafting. In severe cases, lower eyelid tightening procedures like Canthoplasty or Canthopexy may be required.
Blepharoplasty is done as a daycare procedure and does not need an overnight stay in the hospital. Patients go home the same evening with painkillers and antibiotics.
Most patients will be back to work with in 4-5 days. There is swelling around the eyes goes away in 7-10 days.

SOME CONCERNS
Radiofrequency, Fillers and Ultrasound are some ways to tighten loose skin around the eyes. However if you have loose and droopy fat around the eyes, you will need surgery.
It is natural to have swollen eyelids after surgery. Pain is easily controlled by medicines for 1-2 days. Some itching, eye irritation is common too. Most symptoms resolve in 1-2 weeks and the beautiful result can be seen. Final result is seen after 6-8 weeks once the scar starts to fade.
It is a daycare procedure which can be done under local anesthesia too. Both upper and lower lids can be treated at the same time, also known as a ‘4 Quadrant Blepharoplasty’.
